Forest Critters

I personally recommend this game for all ages 7+

In Forest Critters, you play as a chinchilla, who has to rescue their family after they were kidnapped by Solonov the Skunk. Explore the vast Forests of Roria for new weapons and encounter enemies to fight!

Forest Critters is an action-adventure game made in Scratch in 2023, and enhanced via turbowarp, with widescreen and save features. This was also my 1st attempt ever at an action-adventure game, so naturally it's not great, really clunky, and has a steep learning curve(think of an NES game). Controls are in game, but I decided to put them here as well:

WASD - MOVE

SHIFT - SPRINT

SPACE - INTERACT/LEAVE AREAS

1-0/SCROLL WHEEL - SWITCH TO ITEMS 1 - 10

ARROW KEYS - SHORTCUT ITEMS

Q - LOCK ONTO ENEMY

E - INVENTORY 

1 - 0/ ARROW KEYS - MAP ITEMS IN INVENTORY 

R - RELOAD

ENTER - PAUSE/CLOSE SHOP MENU

M - OPEN MAP

I didn't make that many changes to the original, as I've stopped working on it, and I just wanted to put it out, since I want to release Forest Critters III here. I plan to port Forest Critters II here as well. There shouldn't be many bugs, but be aware of collision issues. I have struggled to fix all of them, and they have been known to crash the game.
